Word for 2008
This was recorded on the last day of our fast on January 7, 2008. Please forgive mistakes.
At Prayer Center, we end each year in Thanksgiving. We commit the last day of the year to a time of Prayer and Thanksgiving.
We also begin the year, by dedicating the first Seven days to a time of prayer and fasting. During this time, we ask the Lord to guide us during the coming year. We pray with the expectation that the Lord will give a word to the individual, the family, the Church and the nation as we humble ourselves and seek His face.
The Lord was faithful to bless us and to give us a word for this year.
My House shall be called a house of sacrifice, a House of prayer. When the Lord commanded Moses that they should offer sacrifices, he commanded them and said set the altars and place the sacrifice upon them. A supernatural fire would consume every sacrifice that is pleasing to the Lord. He showed the children that whenever He was pleased with their sacrifice, He would consume it with fire. The absents of fire showed that the Lord was not pleased with their sacrifice. This happened throughout the times.
There came a time when the alters of the Lord were covered by strange fire. The children of Israel worshipped the Baals. Elijah was raised up to show and bring forth the true fire of God. God wanted to restore alters with sweet smelling sacrifices. God restored through Elijah, an alter and sacrifice that received the approving fire of the Lord.
As the Lord prepared the way, through Joel. He said that there shall come a time when those who rent their hearts and not their garments. Those who truly turn to their Lord will see the Lord turn back to them. The Lord would reverse even that which was stolen from them. There shall come a time when God will respond by the fire of the Spirit from heaven and it would fall upon the flesh of men.
On the day of Pentecost, God answered by the fire of the Holy Spirit. Only the blood of His son could make a way for this fire to come. On the day of Pentecost, the apostles presented to the Lord an acceptable sacrifice to the Lord. The Blood of His son Jesus Christ had bought this sacrifice.
Over the next generation from the day of Pentecost to today, we have turned again to having strange fires on the alters of God. But God promised that He will send the Later rain. He also said that as in the Old Testament as in the New Testament that My House shall be called a House of Prayer which is a House of Sacrifice. But again we have turned His house into a den of thieves.
A lot of Christians speak in tongues but there is no fire in the tongues. Many are born again but somehow their fire is out.
The fire of the Spirit of God is the only thing that causes us to manifest Christ in me. That fire comes to kill the flesh and refine the soul. It purifies the soul. I said all this by the Spirit of the Lord to say: Whenever altars have been polluted, when ever altars have been defiled. It is not easy to restore. That is why Joel said call a fast, call even the babies to fast, maybe the Lord will answer.
I believe that it is only by the grace of God that I can stand here. I believe that the fire of the Lord has consumed my soul. The Spirit of the Lord has taken that which has been sacrificed here for the Lord has received the past six days. The Lord is saying to your sacrifice that He will make sure that that which has been sown in tears will be reaped in joy. The Spirit of the Lord has breathed life and purpose over that which you have been giving to Him.
The Lord said cast your net into the deep. Peter said, by your word I will let down my net. That net turned from a natural net to a net that the Spirit of the Lord was casting. What men could not do, the Spirit of the Lord did exceedingly above and beyond.
Because you did not weary in well doing, and because you did not faint. The sacrifice you offered was acceptable to the Lord.
Truly this is a year of New Beginnings. Some things have come to an end. Truly some things are going to begin. Not by might or by power, but the miracles of God’s mercy will be revealed in your life. Truly it is not just a new beginning, but it is a year of open doors. Some things have been shut, because God has planned to open doors this year. There are things that God is shutting down because their seasons have expired.
You will not be denied your harvest.
This year is not just a year of new beginnings or open doors. But a year of covenant and marriage. God is calling us to walk with Him like we have never walked before. It is a year that God is calling us to walk with Him without the limitations of man. Our covenant relationship with the Lord will become a reality.
He that sows in the flesh will of the flesh reap corruption. But he that sows to the Spirit of God will reap, the things of the Spirit.
How can a farmer reap if he does not labor to sow? I thank you father for truly a House of Prayer is a House of sacrifice.
We thank you in remembrance of the second of January; our families have been sealed and bought by the blood of Jesus.
On the fifth of January, the limitations of men over our lives have been broken.
On the sixth of January you have taken away the mindset that we live according to the limitations of the canal men. And made us aware that greater is He who is in us than he that is in the world.
Like Hannah and Mary we have found grace with you to face and overcome the limitations in the world.
You may not know how, and you may not know when but the Lord is going to make you and your children signs and wonders in this generation. The Lord is going to make you and your children signs and wonders in your lifetime. [Lord let it be unto me as you have spoken] The Holy Spirit has made a covenant to brood over that, which has been spoken.
Now the Lord has a part for us to play:
The angel said to Mary, that this promise you are receiving. This promise because is from God and it is the word God cannot happen because of men. This promise can only happen to you if the Holy Spirit broods upon you. The Lord revealed to me the part Mary played.
When Mary said I know no man. [It takes a man to bring natural fruit. It takes a seed that is natural to bring forth a natural seed] the angel said, with God it is possible. So Mary, instead of having intimate time with men had intimate time with God. She went like Hannah and started having fellowship with God. She found a place that men cannot go.
He that dwells in the secret place, God will brood upon you like a hen on an egg and nothing will be impossible unto you. What is impossible with men, He that dwells with God will produce things that are only possible with God.
That which is born of man, can only affect the natural. But that which is born of the Spirit, will rule over the Spiritual.
Like Mary God has given us a promise and indicated the timing. Let us find intimacy with God.
Many are called into promise, but few walk in it.
I pray that, that which has been allocated by the favor of the Lord upon your life. I pray that beginning tomorrow you will begin to see the start of the New Beginning and the cycle of a new existence.
God is not mocked and can never be mocked. Whatever a man sows, shall a man reap?
It is not a coincidence why every great man in the bible was hidden before they were revealed. They were going through a time of dying. Do not be deceived, the true sons and daughters of God will be revealed. And the glory of God shall be revealed.
Seek intimacy with God this year and expect surprises.
This communion tonight will be seal what have already been sealed, by the Lord. This is a covenant to walk with the Lord this year. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you to walk with Him.
In your presence, that is where I belong
In your presence, that is where I belong
In your presence Oh Lord my God
Touching your face,
Seeking your face,
Hide me in the cleft of your rock, oh Lord my God.
Who is that uncircumcised Philistine, when God broods over us like He did with David a young shepherd boy. Everyone sees Goliath, but David sees him just as an uncircumcised heathen.
These are just some things you ask the Lord to give you grace to do from today going forward:
1. Commit to fast once each month. This should outside of the corporate time of Prayer and fasting.
2. Commit to shut yourself up alone with the Lord, once a month. This should be for as many hours as the Lord leads you.
3. Commit to be part of a corporate prayer outside of the normal church meeting times of Wednesday and Sunday. Maintain what you have broken through to over the past six days.
4. Make an intentional lifestyle of sacrificial giving each month. It might not be to the church, but ask God to show you where you can sow a seed of blessing once a month.
